It's very likely he will be getting a procedure called tibial plateau leveling osteotomy. The vet says the procedure is common with working dogs. Also, that it's no reason for us to change our travel plans. In fact it is good that he should be boarded while under doctors' orders to restricted activity. That means all day in a room going out only for bathroom breaks on a leash and close by. But, doesn't it suck?
